Since 1981, PlantShed’s flagship store has proven an Upper West Side staple for locals, gardeners, and plant lovers. Now located just around the corner at 723 Amsterdam Avenue, the new flagship will continue to serve the local community that has been loyal to the company for decades, now with an expanded offering and onsite cafe. The new location represents PlantShed’s evolution, which has branched out from a singular store to a highly curated retail experience that embraces café culture, design, and nature while maintaining its founding values.

The Amsterdam Avenue store marks the brand’s fourth and largest floral café in the tri-state area, preceded by the Columbus Avenue and Prince Street shops, and their first New Jersey location in Englewood. Here, guests are welcomed into an impressive coffee bar, featuring an emerald green La Marzocco espresso machine, floral pendant lights, a brass bar and fixtures, and Curtis Kulig’s iconic “Love Me” tags across the south wall.

The café’s robust beverage menu includes drip coffee, espresso drinks, loose-leaf tea, matcha, and more, as well as local pastries and light bites. The open floor plan leads from the floral café into the retail space where vibrant flowers, lush indoor plants, seasonal outdoor plants, garden supplies, homemade pottery, and curated home and lifestyle products are on display in this serene oasis.
