Plant Care Guide
Light
Prefer bright to medium indirect light inside or on a patio. The ideal location is off to the side of a window, or a large glass door.
Water
Should be watered when the top 1-2 inches of soil feels dry, which typically means watering it once every 1-2 weeks
Level of Care
As an indoor plant, it needs indirect light, withstands deep shade and has low humidity requirements.
Air Purifying
Known for its air-purifying capabilities, removing toxins from indoor environments and improving air quality.
Fertilizer
Fertilize it monthly, in the spring or summer, with a liquid houseplant fertilizer diluted to half strength.
Temperature
Keep the plant away from cold drafts and maintain a consistent temperature within its preferred range 60°F to 80°F. It can tolerate a range of temperatures, but extreme temperatures can harm it's health.
Soil
Grow best in well-draining, fertile, and organic-rich soil. You can use a general-purpose potting mix amended with peat moss and perlite, or a mix specifically made for palms.
Pruning & Propagation
Prune yellow or damaged leaves down to stem. To propagate, large plants can be divided in the spring.
Pet Friendly
Yes! Lady Palms are non-toxic to cats and dogs.
