Snake Plant Laurentii - Grande
Sansevieria trifasciata[ Pot Size: 10'' | Height: 28" - 36" ]
Also known as Sansevieria or a Striped Mother-in-Law's Tongue, the Snake Plant is one of the best for filtering out toxic formaldehyde, which is common in cleaning products, toilet paper, tissues, and personal care products. Place one in your bathroom — it’ll thrive under low light and steamy humid conditions while helping filter out air pollutants. Can tolerate a lack of water but will fail quickly if overwatered.

Plant Care Guide
Light
Prefers bright, indirect light but can tolerate low light as well.
Water
About every 14-20 days. Allow soil to dry out completely and water less often in winter.
Level of Care
Easy! Just make sure not to overwater.
Air Purifying
The NASA Clean Air Study has ranked the Snake Plant as one of the most efficient houseplants that remove formaldehyde, benzene, xylene, and trichlorethylene from the air we breathe.
Fertilizer
Feed with a mild cactus/succulent fertilizer about once a month during the growing season. Do not fertilize in winter.
Temperature
Prefers warm conditions above 50°F. Keep away from drafty windows and air conditioners.
Soil
Light, loose & airy. Cacti/Succulent Mix or African Violet Mix work best. If using All-Purpose Potting Mix, just add some perlite, vermiculite, or sand.
Pruning & Propagation
Trim damaged leaves down to the base with clean shears. To propagate, divide plant when repotting during the spring.
Pet Friendly
Sorry! Contains saponins, which are chemical compounds that can make dogs and cats nauseous if the leaves are consumed
