Plant Care Guide
Light
Provide your Variegated African Milk Tree with plenty of bright, indirect sunlight. While it can tolerate some direct sunlight, avoid exposing it to intense, scorching sun, especially during the hottest part of the day.
Water
Allow the soil to dry out completely between waterings. Water sparingly, especially during the winter when the plant is in dormancy. Overwatering can lead to root rot.
Level of Care
Easy! Just place in bright sunlight and don't overwater.
Air Purifying
The African Milk Tree removes toxins that can build up in indoor spaces and help filter your air.
Fertilizer
Feed your succulent with a diluted, balanced liquid fertilizer every 4-6 weeks during the growing season (spring through early autumn). Avoid fertilizing during the dormant winter months.
Temperature
Keep the plant in a warm environment, with temperatures between 65°F to 80°F (18°C to 27°C) during the growing season. Protect it from cold drafts and temperatures below 50°F (10°C).
Soil
Plant your Variegated African Milk Tree in a well-draining succulent or cactus potting mix. A mix with added perlite or sand can improve drainage.
Pruning & Propagation
Prune any dead or damaged stems as needed to maintain the plant's shape and overall health.
Pet Friendly
Sorry! Mildly toxic to pets and humans, and can get hurt by sharp spines if touched.
