Plant Care Guide
Light
Provide your Dracaena 'Cintho' with bright, indirect light. It can tolerate lower light conditions but thrives in moderate to bright, indirect light. Avoid exposing it to direct sunlight, which can scorch the leaves.
Water
Allow the top inch (2.5 cm) of the soil to dry out before watering. Water thoroughly, but ensure that the pot has proper drainage to prevent waterlogged roots. Adjust the frequency of watering based on your home's humidity and the season.
Level of Care
Easy! Just make sure not to overwater.
Air Purifying
The NASA Clean Air Study has ranked Dracaenas as one of the most efficient groups of houseplants that remove toxins from the air we breathe.
Fertilizer
Feed with a balanced liquid fertilizer diluted to half strength every 4-6 weeks during the growing season (spring through early autumn). Reduce or eliminate fertilization during the winter months when the plant's growth slows down.
Temperature
Maintain a consistent indoor temperature between 65°F to 80°F (18°C to 27°C). Protect the plant from drafts and avoid placing it in areas with extreme temperature fluctuations.
Soil
Use a well-draining potting mix with good moisture retention. A mix formulated for tropical plants or houseplants works well.
Pruning & Propagation
Trim any yellow or damaged leaves as needed to maintain the plant's appearance and health. Pruning can also help control its size and shape.
Pet Friendly
Sorry! Toxic to pets if ingested.
