Ficus lyrata[ Pot Size: 6'' | Height: 12" - 14" ]
The Ficus Lyrata Bambino is a broadleaf evergreen with large, violin-shaped foliage. As houseplants, Ficus Lyrata typically grows 2-10 feet tall and rarely produce fruit. Requiring bright, filtered sunlight, large specimens perform especially well in corner windows, ensuring light hits all the leaves. One of the most widely used plants by professional interior designers, the Ficus Lyrata adds drama and style to any space.

Plant Care Guide
Light
Requires at least 4 hours of bright, filtered sunlight. A few hours of direct morning sun is okay. Will deteriorate rapidly in low light. Dust leaves monthly to ensure they can absorb light.
Water
About once every 7-10 days. Allow the top 2 inches of soil to dry. Water less often in winter. Top leaves will droop when thirsty.
Level of Care
Needs a little extra care. Just make sure it has enough sunlight and that you don’t overwater.
Air Purifying
Fiddle Leaf Figs remove toxins that can build up in indoor spaces. A general rule of thumb is 1 medium houseplant per 100 square feet of space effectively cleans the air we breathe.
Fertilizer
Feed with a liquid, indoor plant fertilizer about once a month during the growing season. Do not fertilize in winter. Notorious for being sensitive to chemicals, so it is a good idea to periodically flush out the soil with water to remove salt, toxins, or other impurities.
Temperature
Prefers warm, humid conditions around 60-75°F. Keep away from drafty windows and air conditioners.
Soil
Use a well-draining, All-Purpose potting soil. Young plants should be transplanted annually. Once mature, transplant every 2-3 years to give room to vast root network.
Pruning & Propagation
Prune damaged leaves by breaking to the leaf node. Can trim new growth to reduce height and control shape. Propagation is difficult outside of greenhouse settings.
Pet Friendly
Mildly toxic. Sap containing latex can cause mouth irritation and indigestion if consumed.
